A special report titled "Upfront: Research Update" in The Structural Engineer, a publication of the Insitution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), highlighted the theoretical research achievements of Professor Han Linhai's research team in our Civil Engineering Department. The report recognized their work as providing an "essential and fundamental basis" for research in this field, and "facilitates the rational design" of such structures for the first time.
